It depends what people are adding. It is the dogs diet in general that should be balanced, not each meal, which you will know if you feed raw.

Considering 'complete' foods contain high proportions of ceral, and far from adequate meat, I can't see that adding meat/meat and bone can do much harm, to be honest.
