Re: Question for all breeders..........
I'm feeling guilty now - Tabitha's five kittens (8 weeks on Sat) have always been confined to one room (large and mostly empty apart from cat toys, climbers, sleeping bags, litter tray and food). They seem really friendly when I have visitors who come up with me to spend time with them and Tabitha still spends a lot of time up there too.
My concern if I let them have the run of the house is that my other cats may hurt them and I have cat flaps at back and front of the house and I worry that the kittens would follow my other cats' lead and get out.
My intention was to let them in the rest of the house while I am around once those I am not keeping have gone to their new homes. That will probably have to change as a close friend who is having two has a holiday booked in September so it makes sense for me to keep them until after he gets back.
I think maybe I will let them out in the evenings once I get home from work just for a couple of hours before it gets dark. I can't lock one of my cat flaps unfortunately as the little switch has snapped off.
I hate to think of my fur babies being unsocialised. They do chase each other around the room a lot and climb the chest of drawers that is in there.
I always learn so much from this forum. It's great.
