Saying goodbye

Yesterday I said a final goodbye to our beloved German Shepherd Dog. You may remember a while ago I thought he had degenerative myelopathy, however, despite several trips to the vet, a diagnoses was never finalised. He collapsed yesterday morning, and it was clear to me that there was something terribly wrong.

We rushed him to the vets and he was seen on emergency. He was so flat, and seemed to be fading fast. After what seemed like an age, it was discovered that he was bleeding internally and cancer was diagnosed.

He was put to sleep at 1pm and died in our arms. As our final act of love I just wanted to say goodbye and be with him to the end.
