That is so sad.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know you loved that little pup like crazy and this must hurt terribly, but she knew you loved her and up until your neighbor did what she did, I am sure your little girl was happy. It's easier said than done, but try to focus on the fun times you had with her. I hope you start feeling better soon.
