Re: Help... PLEASE!!!

We had a similar problem with Daisy when she was a pup for months she had the runs it eventually cleared up on Royal canin hypoallergenic food which we fed for about 5 weeks , she had not been given a good start as her breeder thought it was ok to feed Bakers ( full of bad things ) and cat food !!!!!!!! so at the end of all the tests ect all it came down to was putting her on the hypoallegenic food which soya is the protien source we then gradually moved her onto the Royal canin labrador junior food , she thrived on it untill i descided to research Barf feeding and went for it . At this time we had addopted another lab Jessie she was out of condition and over weight Barf has allowed me to feed what they should eat with no additives no wheet or rice or preservatives which can eventually cause liver and kidnet problems .
Barf feeding costs me about £35 for about 7 weeks for 2 adult labs , the meat i order is from a place called Landywoods , it comes pre frozen in 1lb portions you can get loads of different things but order chicken minced with the bone in it , lamb minced with the bone , and kidneys whole i just cut them up once defrosted , all i have to do is remember to take the food out of the freezer lol . So this morning i took out of the freezer 1 bag of chicken , and 1 bag of lamb they have defrosted now so ive halved each portion into containers and they are now in the fridge ready for tomorrow each dog has 1 bag each per day split into 2 feeds . Once a week i spend 20 mins blending raw veg usually whats left over from last weeks shopping but i do buy economy carrots and cabbage ect i really enjoy preparing thier food it makes me happy to know they are only having exactly what i know about , Into the veg pulp you can add cod liver oil sunflower seeds ect if its alredy in the veg you dont need to remember to add these thing during the week , they also might have a raw egg about 3 times a week , and they get veg defrosted but not cooked every night i bag they veg into portions and take out of the freezer in the mornig , I know this may sound a lot but honestly i must spend 5 mins a day getting food ready its not hard as long as your organised .
