Re: studying dog training

Hi
this is something i am interested in getting into - i have registered with the Kennel Club on their accredited instructor scheme. They send you a fuill outline of what you need to learn (though they are not modules) and inlcude an assessment of prior learning. I am reading around the subject, guided by the information from the KC.

In terms of courses I have opted to do Canine Massage (which I in early stages of) and dog grooming (just signed up for) - these will contribute to the overall accreditation and then I will do a formal course on Dog Training to round this off. I am hoping to move full time into the canine care world!

I am a Learning Consultant in the human world and have found that alot of the qualifications and experience i have through this contributes to the accreditation - a big part of training dogs is actually training their owners to be able to train their own dogs if that makes sense!

I would love to hear from anyone with similar interests, going through the same things - please IM me if you woudl like to chat!
