Is that right that both hairless and pp are born from the same litter????
What is the 'best' breeding - a hairless mum/a pp dad ??????
Just very curious

They are very smart dogs arent they with great tempermants
If you mate a hairless to a hairless or a hairless to a puff then both can be born in the litter. ALL hairless dogs have the abilty to prouce hairless and coated puppies - making it impossible for the puffs to ever be bred out.
If you was to mate two puff together it would be IMPOSSIBLE to produce hairless puppies in a litter, as the puffs do not carry the hairless gene.
Many people within the breed will frown on breeders doing puff to puff matings as like I said it wont produce hairless puppies.
The hairless to hairless mating and puff to hairless matings are done all the time - although you would want to add a puff in over a certain amount of generations.
If you put two hairless together its possible for a puppy two take two copies of the hairless gene, which would be refered to as the lethal gene - puppies that take two copies NEVER survive and will die within the womb, be reabsorbed or die shortly after birth being deformed.
Hope this has helped a little bit - thanks Rainy
