Both mine are chipped. Got done at 10 weeks old same time as their second jabs. They both yelped but then got back to the treats the vet had for them. Both had a tiny little spot of blood on their fur (probably noticeable because they have white fur), but no side effects whatsoever.

If ever they get lost at least I know any vet or kennel will check for a microchip first so they will be home before you know it. After all a tag on a collar can get lost...... and as we have already lost 2 of those I feel much better knowing he has a chip.
