Re: Cat collars
All my cats are outdoor cats. My older three won't wear collars so I decided to put collars on my younger two as soon as I got them. Tabitha is fine with hers but Tigger usually loses his after two or three days. He went missing recently and had no collar on at the time. When he came back I bought another one and he has kept this one on for a couple of weeks. It is one that comes off should he catch it and it is reflective too so that he can be seen a bit better at night.
I am going to get my younger two microchipped as soon as I can but will still keep collars on them as they have bells on too and I think this gives the wildlife a bit of a fighting chance at escape!!
I do put their collars on quite loosely as I have seen cats that have had their fur around their neck completely rubbed away from wearing a collar.
