I have 2 outdoor cats, they are both insured, microchipped and vaccinated. They both have collars with tags and bells on, the tags have their name on and my home phone number on.
I have tried and tested a lot of collars and Snoopy has a snap away collar i think they are called this is normally my type of collar as if they get stuck or trapped by the collar it snaps off and they wont be strangled.
Peanuts is a bit harder as she has gone through atleast 4 collars this year so far she some how manages to get her leg through the neck bit thankfully she has always come straight home and i have been able to take it off before she chokes herself. I have had to put a buckle one on Peanuts because i know 100% she cant choke herself with this one BUT if she got caught anywhere it would snap off like Snoopy's
I have to weigh up the options with my 2 as they are both so different god help me when the kitten can go out
