It's sad really as Tabitha and Tigger (her brother) used to play together and then when Tabitha had her kittens poor Tigger felt a bit left out I think as when he goes to wash Tabitha she moves away. Tigger disappeared for five days recently and I was distraught. He is now back. I think he had got shut in somewhere as he was very thin and dusty but otherwise OK (I took him to the vet for a check up just to be sure). Since then I've given him a lot of one-to-one time and let him sleep on my bed but I think he still misses the affection of his sister. He does seem to like the kittens so maybe if I just keep the one he will play with her.

it would be best to keep two kittens, that way they can play and not annoy the mum so much.
