Hi
My other thread disappeared the other night

so I thought i'd do an update on Gemma's progress.
Well, each day we seem to be making a step in the right direction. Shes started coming down every night, mieows like mad to let us know shes on her way. Takes her a while to make it into the kitchen but shes now used to me moving round in there doing her food. Last night she got to within an inch of actually eating from the bowl while I was still holding it. She let me just touch her head but that was it and I didn't push her any further. Sparkle was in the kitchen too last night and they went for the same food at the same time, Gemma backed off slightly and Sparkle gave a little growl but nothing to worry about. Later they were chasing each other up the hall, playfully!!! Still slightly wary with each other but I feel confident leaving them unsupervised next to each other

Then today, Gemma came downstairs IN THE DAYLIGHT

we heard her then she appeared while we were eating tea. Think feeling hungry brings her down but I won't take food up to her as I think that will make her retreat under the bed again. I do put her water next to her during the day and she drinks most of it up. She didn't quite make it to the food at tea time before she ran back upstairs but she was walking round the kids bedroom and sitting at the top of the stairs for a bit, she'd move away from us but no way is she as scared as she was.
OH managed to stroke her a few times this weekend and again shes lashed out, but she seems to like the attention. The last time she lashed out it was just her paw so more of a hit that anything vicious, didn't have her claws out so that was good
We had the microchip details through the other day so shes registered to our address now, at the rescue centre she was known by one name, but now we have her original name. It's a lovely name which sounds like someone really liked her so god knows what went wrong in her life

Still, shes ours now and slowly shes coming round
Younger two were so happy today as they haven't really seen her for days.
Sorry to go on but I'm so pleased that shes feeling more at home
