Cod liver oil is great for the coat a couple of tsp on her food every day . Food can be a big part in general health what do you feed ? also long haired dogs do get matted and sometimes you could be better off with a bristle brush to get the tangles out , when you brush her and you find a tangle start brushing it out from the bottom upwards as dragging the tangle from near the skin down can sometimes make the not worse , maybe while the weather is warm you could get her clipped shorter to make her more comfortable and allow it to grow back at the end of the summer .
