Post Burmese Python fact sheet(Python molurus bivittatus)

Species: Python molurus bivittatus

Description: Light brown with large dark brown blotches, heavy body. They may grow to lengths in excess of 15 feet. They are often over ten feet long by the time they are three years old.

Climate: The Burmese Python comes from Bruma (surprise, surprise!) They can also be found in Indonesia and Malaysia. Keep them at 80 - 85F during the days, dropping to 70F at night.

Habitat: Due to the size they will grown to, you will need an 8 foot x 8 foot space eventually.

Feeding: Rodents when young, large rats at one year old, chickens or rabbits when full grown.

Notes: This snake is not for beginngers. Although generally gentle, the size that it can grow to presents a problem.
