We now have six babies! Phew I never realised it would be so much hard work and STRESSFUL.
All is well, they came last night, her contractions started at 5pm when by 7.30 see had not deivered anything I started to panick so rang the vet though said he would meet me at the surgery at 8:15 so we got in my husbands car, luckly prepared with heated box, towels and blankets and arrived early at the surgery and guess what else arrived as we pulled up, puppy no 1. (My husband was not impress he is a taxi driver so needs to keep his car immaculate, so I was try to keep it all contained on my lap, while Jess was happily eating the placenta lol!). I then rang the vet and he said to go home and by the time we got home (it only takes 10 minutes) the next one was starting to crown. Rushed Jess and pup upto the whelping room but it took her another hour before she delivered him as she was too interested in the first pup and bother with contractions (I did suggest to OH another drive but he refused). I discovered Jess likes to walk around while delivering at this point she finds it helps, lucky I have got a dark green carpet. After that they just kept coming the next three were only every twenty minutes and then the last one (which was a big surprise) arrived at
11:40pm. We have 4 boys and 2 girls.
