Re: Can anyone tell me what colour type my kitten is?

Yes, Em, if they are registered, then the colour will be on the papers, as would the Date of birth, Parents, Grandparents, G.Ggranparents ect.
That is the problem too, it is possible he is'nt a proper Maine Coon.

He is not registered. The mother was a pedigree but she did not have papers for the father
So they are just unregistered cats then. Being a pedigree does'nt mean it's registered i'm affraid.

As Em says, just hope you are not paying hundreds for the kitten. I' still worried she does'nt even seem to know his colour. He could be Silver, but it's no guarantee, just cause his dad is.
I have a litter of 6 here, both parents are Silver, but only 2 of the kittens are.

Don't worry it is the cat i wanted and not specifically his breed. Yes his price does reflect his lack of registration etc etc. His eyes were fine, I can see what you mean but i am rubbish at taking photos and the light is not in the right position and makes him look squinty!!
Hope you enjoy him, when you get him Holly. It's nothing against you. I just worry about people who breed for the sake of it and it's the poor unsuspecting public that suffer, from lack of information because the breeder does'nt have the knowledge
