Re: A dilemma -calling again ...

Thank you all for your kind replies. I have given the stud owner the benefit of the doubt and continued calling but now I have also drafted a letter to say, basically, "have been trying to ring but not getting a reply - am becoming worried about you. Please give me a quick call to reassure me that you are ok, or if you prefer, just drop me a line - here is a stamped, addressed envelope to save you having to look up my address etc. Hope you are well and perhaps we may be able to agree another mating soon. Kind regards ..." In my letter I did remind the lady of my queens name and the dates she visited her boy (and named him as she has two) so that everything would add up nicely. I hope this does not come across as rude and pushy.

However, I did get a call from another breeder with a stud - when it became clear that I was having difficulties and my queen's call was progressing to the close of Day 2, I put my feelers out. This proved fruitful.... so far (cross fingers and hope)

Both my queens are now out on honeymoon - the senior queen with her usual 'husband' and the younger queen with this lovely new beau ...

So in the end I did all three things. Ok I had to spend a bit but sometimes, I just "push the boat out" a bit. rolleyes: Lets hope this time it will be worthwhile.
