Thanks for the advice. His trust is building every day so hopefully I can get him to the vet ok.

I should be moving house next year and will hopefully bring the cat with me, and allow him into the house ( as the family member wouldn't be staying with me) . I just hope he'll stick with me as an outdoor cat until then , that he won't get a better offer over the winter of being allowed into a neighbours house and decide to move in there !!!!
