If it's not causing her any pain or discomfort I would be inclined to leave it.

At her age there may be risks to her health if shes operated on.

Keep an eye on her & if her health declines take her back to the vet.
If surgery isn't the answer then prepare yourself to do the hardest yet kindest thing.
