just athought. could it be that your parents don't treat your dog the same way as you? i only ask because if evryone in the house is telling him different, then he might be confused.i would like to add ( for what its worth)
i had a GS i got him at 13 months old, and the ONLY fault he had was,once i'd put his food down there was no way i could take the bowl away from him.
as for the barking my GS would bark to let us know when ANYONE came near the house.But i never interpreted it as him being boss, neither did he. he was a mummies boy.
