Smile Re: Anyone been a foster for an assistance dog?

I have puppy walked a total of three Guide Dogs in the past and it is very rewarding. I taught each one the basic commands although they were of course taught to walk slightly forward of me rather than at heel and were taught to stand at roadsides rather than sit. I took them on buses, trains and taxis, into pubs, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shopping centres. They wore a special white lead with a slip on it saying Guide Dog Puppy In Training and I wore a badge to identify that I was an official puppy walker but you would be surprised how many people thought I myself was blind, particularly as they got bigger!
