thank you for your responses - we have tried a spray that I supposed to make the rabbit not chew again - it only worked for a few days though so it wasn;t all that sucessfull!
He is shut in the large hallway whilst we are at work, still a long space for hum to run up and down in and he chews the walls in there. He still chews when he has the run of the house though - anything that is in front of him he trys to eat - including shoes!
We had him neutered a few weeks ago which I thought might help with the chewing as he would be a calmer bunny, however it seems to have made no difference at all!

We need some kind of plastic coating on the walls to stop him, perhaps I will have a look around the DIY shops at the weekend then, thanks!
