Unhappy Advice needed Please help

Dear All
I have a cat called JJ he is 13 years old. He has always been a loving affectionate cat, that is until he went to the vet and had two teeth out! He has not been the same since. His health went up and down with a sore in the mouth, then a lump (that disappeared) under his tongue. My wife has been going through a bad time and JJ adores her, unfortunately what with the vet and my wife not being very happy at the moment this has affected him we believe. He is fearful of something and appears very insecure. We have him eating and drinking well again now but he has started to have a wee wherever he is laying. When he goes there is no pain and a lot of it, the urine is normal in colour. He is also opening his bowels without problem but again he is not always using the tray. We have been using homeopathic remedies as the vets stresses him out badly, we have also been giving him lots of affection and time. Does anyone know why he should be wetting himself like this, he has been liike this for the past 4 days or so? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
