Well said Jo....
In a different post I have stated that pet buyers have every right to a good healthy breed standard dog but as you are talking about dogs like the Labrador cross Standard Poodle there is a difference - these kinds of designer dogs are being abused by unscrupulus people and there a very few reputable people breeding them - Hopefully those that do require the added designer label will go to a good breeder and have a healthy dog.
I echo again that just because a person requires a dog to be a family pet with no interest in showing or working that dog does not mean it should be any less quality than a dog that meets its breeds standard.
I show 2 of my dogs but they are all family pets and are played with and taken to the park etc just like someone elses family pet.
