Many moons ago, you could say that I was a K.C snob...
Other than taking on the odd dog out of rescue I only ever purchased K.C registered dogs, 8 years ago I became quite disillusioned with the K.C breed that I have always owned and loved and the breed even though I love them has its issues that I am still not entirely happy with.
8 years on, there is STILL no known health tests for the breed it is only 'recommended' that breeders do them..most don't.
So I took a turn in direction with the dogs I loved decided to look into alternatives two years later it was only after much research that I decided to take the plunge and buy the 'alternative' he came from fully health tested parents and is free himself from heditary defects known to both his breed and his counterpart one.
I think there is room for 'alternatives' but in no way do I mean this by throwing any old breed together to create a 'new' breed.
