which should be used now.
Surely the fact that Labradoodle breeding has gone on despite the abandonment of the original purpose would suggest that people want them for their own sakes?
As to the Beagle then if you want one and can do it justice then fine, have a real one. All I would say is that if I should want a Beagle-LIKE couch potatoe (an extreme I know but it's just for the sake of argument) then shouldn't I be afforded the same right?
By turning your face against the development of new breeds (crossbreeds, mongrels whatever you call them) you are seeking to impose your will on others. Thou shalt or thou shalt not as I see fit sort of thing.

Sadly, people are inherantly selfish, and, partly the way society is on the whole these days, seem to think they have some sort of right to have what they want. No, if you should want a Beagle-LIKE dog that has couch potato qualities, you should not be afforded the right to have one. Dog owning is NOT a right, it is a privilage and it is a pity more people do not see it that way. If people can't find a breed that suits them, in looks, temprement and manageability, then maybe dog owning is not for them.

If, by 'turning my face against the development of new breeds' I am seeking to impose my will on others, aren't those who wish to corssbreed/breed momgrels/crate new breeds simply doing the same thing? In the same vein, if I feel that dogs which are bred from should have the appropriate health tests, aren't I also imposing my will upon others? Would that be wrong also?
