You could start putting the crate outside once they've had all their jabs and are under your watchfull eye. As long as there is also a shaded bit in the crate so if it's sunny they can cool off.

Thank you for replying that's brill - I tend to know a bit more about dogs than cats even though I have owned cats for a number of years in some ways I haven't I have fed them cleaned a lit tray and they sort themselves out.
I'll go back to using plain water unless someone knows of a product I can use and I will wait before I put the crate outside, I'm a bit old fashioned a believer in fresh air being good for you, but with these little ones I wasn't sure.
