I understand what you are saying but my point is about evolution. Why should we still be breeding dogs to hunt boar etc when their day has passed? New breeds should naturally replace them - Darwinian or what? - and as for the establishing of lines you have to start somewhere. Labradoodles are going through this at the moment. The ones that don't make "type" will find a home with the ones that don't make "breed standard" at present. I fully agree that thought is required before anything but I cannot agree with stopping.
