Yeh I dont think you can stop a kitten using his claws.. as said above use things like sticks with dangly things in the end so you can interact with him but he's not going for your hand!

I trim Alfie's claws when they get too sharp which helps a bit also because they are more blunt so dont break your skin. If you do try and clip his claws (I do front only) then do it when he's sleepy!
