My cat got diagnosed with hyperthyroidism yesterday after going blind in one eye in the space of an hour and a half on Tuesday night. We have just given him his first does of Vidalta and also some blood pressure tablets, which he has just regurgitated onto the floor but hopefully it will stay down when we try again. We had to give him them orally as he is not eating at the minute he just sleeps as he is sensitive to the light. Im so pleased to hear about another cat in a different thread and i hope we have caught my cats problem early enough to restore some of his sight to his left eye, or even just to not let the same happen to his right eye. I had no idea so many cats suffer with this same problem and pleased to hear that if managed they can live normal lives. He has not suffered any other problems just the sudden blindness so hopefully we have caught his thyroid problem at the beginning.

Just wondered if anyone has any advice for us?
