Re: Lead reaction/fear

This is a great BAT handout and recording your sessions will help with a more structured approach so Grisha has this form to fill out. Also cehck out Boogey the Boston Terrier's blog - Boogey is reactive and his owner is an amazing artist so regularly records his training sessions in her art! She has also developed a fab way of recording her training sessions - they are all over the blog and are filled with great ideas.

Your dog probably missed out on all sorts of important early socialisation in her early life and was also born to a nervous mum so was exposed to spooky behaviour early on as well as inheriting genes that may affect this behaviour. Lots stacked against her here
She is also slap bang in the middle of adolesence so any reactivity is likely to increase at this stage.

Highly recommend Emma Parsons Click to Calm book, Control Unleashed by Leslie McDevitt (the book not the DVD) and BAT work & resources.
Perhaps put in place with the help of a suitably qual'd and experienced positive trainer.
