You can try practising on a flexi-lead or a long line and then when you feel confident possibly let off lead.

yep ive tryed that...when they are out treats just dont interest them...all they wanna do is run and play and have fun
keeping them on their flexy leads and calling with treats didnt elp eitha...they are out and they wanna play and nothing i did would make my stubborn gits come back.
