i personally wouldn't pick him up just make sure he isnt asleep... tell him off and nudge him off.... what we do with Kya is when she wants to come on the sofa she has to sit by it (which she does on her own now) then to invite her on yeh pat the sofa and say a cue word like "come on then"..... i would only let him on the sofa when u invite until he is getting down when you just say and is asking properly to come up to teach him so manners and then see how you go its up to u at the end of the day.... but just make sure you keep on top of his manners
