Do snakes get attacked by live prey? of course they do - just like any other animal that has to catch it's food. Remember that you are priviledged to have a reptile in captivity, and while I do not agree with the frozen food only policy of this idiotic island, it is the law and has to be obeyed. I am in the reptile trade and would lose the license immediately if we ever broke this law regardless of my / our opinion of it. Don't slag off the Yanks either - they are light years ahead when it comes to keeping reptiles.

Well,where to start?
Firstly I,along with every other British person who use this forum I expect,am insulted by your refernce to our country as an Idiotic Island(this comes from a native of the nation who voted George Bush as their chosen leader?!)
You are either making this up as you go along or woefully uneducated.I have been involved in the reptile industry in the UK for 21 years this year, and I can assure you there is no law whatsoever against the feeding of live prey to reptiles. To claim that the keeping of reptiles is 'lightyears' ahead is just ridiculous,if this were the case there wouldnt be the current trend of seriously overfeeding the captive snakes in the USA,with the Python Molurus
and Python Reticulatus being the main species that suffer over there. The trend in america is to create as big and heavy a specimen as possible with no regard for the effects on the snake itself.
If we are being honest here, the most advanced research into the captive husbandy of reptiles takes place in mainland Europe, with Germany and Holland being the frontrunners. If you have genuinely been in the trade as long as you claim you would not only know this but you would not have the front to claim otherwise.
The feeding of frozen food is safer for your animal, however in certain situations, particularly with wild caught specimens,it can often be the case that live feeding is required.
Frankly, you come across as a typical set in their ways keeper I deal with on a regular basis, your way is right and you wont accept any other opinion,no matter how educated or experienced they are.
I'm sure you will try and insult or ridicule our ways further, but in my 21 years I have seen far healthier, longer lived snakes in the UK and europe than in the USA.Fact.
