Does anyone know if Applaws food is made in their own manufacturing facility, or is it asigned to one that makes various brands? I was thinking, if it's one that makes various brands, then perhaps that's how the contamination happened.
I was shocked at this too, as I have recently changed my cats over to Applaws thinking I was doing the best thing for them. I know their tinned chicken comes from Thailand and that worried me a bit because I think there have been food scandals to do with Thai chickens in the past and I also wondered about how they could ensure the welfare standards they boast about on their website. I know the melamine issue is with their dry food but it doesn't give you much faith in any of their products does it. They haven't bothered replying to an email I sent a while ago asking about welfare, which is also not very impressive when this is one of their selling points.
