There are only 2 problems so far really, which are not a big deal. 1) hovering around dinner and when it's being made. 2) Constantly following mum around. She doesn't mind it at times, he just follows her everywhere (cleaning, tv, toilet).
Apart from that, he's doing great and I'm looking for a nearby trainning school.

Hi there,
great 2 here he is doing better.
About him barking at u- i wouldn't worry that's likely to be a greeting/attention bark.
I wouldn't worry if he hovers around when food is being made, so long as he isn't stealing any food.
And about him following ur mum around, although it may be a bit difficult to do certain tasks it is a good sign as it shows that he his bonding well and fnding is place in the pack- it also shows that he wants to be around u lot- ie. he is fitting in.
However, when it's important that he doesn't follow ur mum (i.e she is cleaning using chemicals) why not tell to go in his bed land give him a bone or nyclabone to occupy himself with or give him a treat ball.
Hope that helps and it's great to hear he is improving well.
