Just came across this thread and wondered if you'd been able to diagnose the cause of the patch yet?

As others have said it could be a reaction to a flea bite or another allergy (food, environmental)

Other skin conditions such as ringworm can cause bald patches so I'd take the cat to a vet for a definitive diagnosis if the patch is still there.
