My Springer pup loves carrot too but makes a right mess with it!! He also loves apple!! We were worried when he managed to jump up while I was at the fridge and he grabbed a whole bag of grapes out and munched through half before we could get them off him we too had heard they were bad!! We thought the worst but luckily nothing happened, he must have a stomach of steel!! That's not to say that we would ever give them to him in the future!!
I'd also like to mention that we changed our dog food recently after great advice from this site!! We were giving our pup bakers puppy and didn't know it was like giving him skittles and being a springer he didn't need any help to make him more hypo!! He has been on Burns adult food for about a month now and really seems a good choice, it seems to have calmed him down, only a little though lol!!
