Re: dogs uneasy with people

To start to socialise these babies do take them out one at a time if you have a friend with a confident dog ask them to walk with you when you meet someone you know ask them to come down to pups level - when I judge pups I kneel so that I am not towering over them (all 5 ft of me ) if they are treat orientated give the stranger a treat to give them but dont make a fuss about it, if that doesnt work just stand and talk to the stranger ignoring pup the condident dog will want to make a fuss and slowly pup will be inquisitive and hopefully start to sniff hands etc tell them not to move and let the pup do their own thing. Try not to go the way of a therapist they are sometimes barmy!!!!!!!!!!!
