Am I just unlucky with dog related pro's?

Hi, I seem to moan about everyone that comes into contact with my dog, I'm sorry to be so negative but I share my experience to find a correct answer to the odd things I am told,

The latest, following on from our odd home visit trainer, is the vets and vet taxi.

Toby went for his 2nd jab today and went in the vet taxi. He weighs 10kg and still wasn't allowed to be placed on the floor so I was told to hold him untill going into the consultation room and being placed on the table. I followed this instruction despite his weight, but to my amazement 3 staff members in the reception started fussing him with the 'oogy woogy woo' voice, needless to say this sent him over the edge and I was left battling to hold my 14 week old kangaroo! Why did they have to do that? That surely can't be a normal way to greet your clients and their dogs?

Anyway, that's ment as a bit of a lighthearted post, toby ended up leaving without touching the florr and it's not too much of a serious issue, more of a funny annoyance.

The serious question is how long do I now have to wait untill toby can go outside? A friend told me to wait a week, the polish vet said nothing (really struggled to understand a word) and the vet taxi man said to walk him tonight? The friend that told me works for a different vet surgery so I do trust that it is a 1 week wait but after further research I read that it should be 2 weeks?
