How do I train my dog for new tricks.

I want him to fetch a ball when I throw it, or if he has it originally.

I call his name, and say stuff like "get the ball" "fetch". I'm a new dog owner, so I don't really know how to, but how do I train him for stuff like, fetching, going onto his bed, and getting his lead.

He responds to me when I call him, but he just stares at my blankly.

Any tips?
