Re: Advice on New Kitten
Hi there
Many thanks for the replys. I do understand about different germs being in the home but my vet assured us this couldn't have been the case. It was to soon after he was brought home. His temperature was through the roof and he was extremely dehydrated. That had nothing to do with stress or anything in our home. He was also 15 weeks old so his vaccinations had been three weeks prior. So it had time to settle into his system.
I do agree that the breeder was very responsible by taking him back and she did pay for vets bills. I think for this particular breeder it was a one off. So I feel really sorry for 'sweetpea' who has brought the kitten and has had such a bad time. I hope the kitten is feeling a bit better now. I certainly don't agree with charging £180.00 for a crossbreed.
Me and my husband have decided to let the breeder keep the kitten as my son is severely diasbled and in hospital a lot off and on. So to have a kitten which is in and out the vets as well is not the best situation. So for the time being we are going to stick to an ordinary run of the mill moggy. I'm afraid I a bit on edge now.
Oh well you live and learn!
