Thanks for your kind comments... and doesn't it just At least I have wonderful memories and would rather have known him that not. It sucks that they aren't around for long though... It truly was the hardest thing I've ever done - to hold him whilst he was being PTS but I was pleased he was out on a run 10 mins beforehand and managed to eat bacon and eggs, which is the first time he'd eaten rich food in weeks.
