its hard to get the ballance right with these dogs as prepared food often has the wrong stuff in it for thier metabolism . Im sure if you maybe reduced his food a bit more you could top up with veg if you pilp it first it digests better , carrots cabbage ect they do love veg and its callorie free so he wont feel hard done by lol , dont be tempted by the vets selling you thier low fat foods they are expensive and no better , just have him weighed every 2 weeks and keep up the walks , its slow to start but Jessie has lost gradually now since the end of jan when we knew we were keeping her ,about 3 and a half kilo to date and the work still goes on . lol he is great by the way , where did you rescue him from ?
