I've just come back from Tesco in a right temper! There was a small Daewoo in the car park with three GSDs in it, with only one window open about a quarter of an inch - on a day like today! eek: The poor dogs were panting like mad.

I went to the security officer and asked him to put a call out for the owner - and he said he couldn't because it was nothing to do with him. I pointed out that if he didn't do something the dogs would be dead within a very short time, but he was shaking his head and giving me a blank stare until another chap joined in in support. When I got my phone out to call the RSPCA, he decided that he could put the call out after all.

A woman came eventually, spewing forth abuse about nosy people with nothing better to do than interfere in other people's business (well, that was the drift, but the language was a lot more colourful) and that she knew how to look after her dogs without nosy b.......s like me interfering. I told her that her dogs would have died if left much longer, and that I had a note of her registration and would inform the RSPCA if ever |I saw dogs left in her car again.

OOOOH! WHY are people like that allowed to have dogs?
