I think you need to be speaking with breed clubs and breeders of different breeds in all honesty.All dogs even those of the same breed can be total opposites.

My two are fine and happy to be left alone,they are not destructive but are crated when we are not around,for their safety and so they are not destructive,others I know with SBT's also work full time and their dogs are also happy to be left,but they do come home at lunchtime and they have exercise.Staffords are the whole are a very adaptable breed but they do love human company.
