I do accept that we were very quick rushing into this, although I had looked at a little research on the net beforehand as we had been thinking about studding our dog for a short time.. it's just this opportunity arose so quicky.. yes I accept it was a stupid decision and I have learned my lesson

basically I just wanted confirmation as to when a stud fee should be paid

thank you all for your input... like I said.. it's the first time that we've entered into this, but next time.. I will draw up a stud contract and seek out more advice. but everyone has to start somewhere don't they??
