Have to agree with all on here. We have an AB, the only reason i agreed on having a dog is because i'm home all day. My mum has a Shitzu/pom and she works 2 days a week but i go round late morning and take her for a walk then my daughter gets her after school.
Personally like most have said i would wait untill you are settled in your new home and have made arrangements for the dog so its not left alone all day.
