Re: Runny poo :(
If it doesnt settle and you have him tested for everything else have your cat tested for TRITRICHOMONAS FOETUS! Testing is done on stool samples - not blood. It is a parasite that lives in the cat's colon and causes chronic foul-smelling diarrhea. The cat may cycle in and out of bouts of diarrhea to varying degrees - stools may be loose/mushy/runny/liquid/cow-pie-like, and may sometimes contain blood or mucous, and may be accompanied by gas. Otherwise, most affected cats are healthy. Studies show that this may very well be the cause of "undiagnosed" diarrhea in cats.
TF is becoming more known to vets and breeders, but there are still many who are unaware of this parasite. Most vets will test for the "usual" suspects that cause diarrhea (Worms, Giardia, Coccidia, etc.) Typically, the tests are Neg., and the diarrhea is chalked up to IBD (Irritable Bowel Disorder)and the cat is placed on a "special diet".
Its successfully treated with Ronidazole.

When asked why, the boy explained that the stranded starfish would die if left to lie in the morning sun. ‘But there are millions of starfish on this beach' said the old man. ‘How can your efforts make a difference?’The boy picked up another starfish and placed it in the waves. ‘It makes a difference to this one.' he said
