hi

it all depends on the size of the dog - a dog should be able to stand up staight without hunching, sit, turn around and lie out flat - they should never have much more room than this as they can then run at the sides and hurt themselves - if you get a puppy - you can get a big cage but make sure you divide it down to the right size. it always best to take the dog with you when buying a cage just to make sure its the right size.
